How To Stop Worrying And Start Living

Let's face it - the changing economy has a lot of people on edge and there aren't too many signs to suggest that things are going to improve anytime soon. But that doesn't mean you should worry about the future - because, after all, worrying really doesn't solve anything. Now I know many of you have probably heard that expression or something like it - so in this newsletter I'm going to outline some point on how to stop worrying and start living - it's actually easier than you think.

Negative Effects of Worrying

So we know that worrying doesn't do you any good. And we know that worrying doesn't solve the problem. But did you know that worrying can actually make things worse. You see worrying is really the art of sending negative messages to your subconscious mind that will only lead to negative situations. When you worry - you're really having a stream of negative thoughts, which lead to negative beliefs. These negative beliefs are picked up by your subconscious mind, which in turn creates your reality based on your beliefs. One of the first things you'll learn when you take my Creating Power course is that your subconscious mind doesn't distinguish between what is good for you and what is bad for you. It simply follows your instructions - and those instructions are your thoughts and beliefs. So if you worry that you'll never have enough money to pay the bills, then your subconscious - which is only acting on your instructions, will simply create situations so that you never have enough money to pay the bills. If you worry about your spouse breaking up with you - your subconscious will create situations so that you will compel your spouse to break up with you. If you worry that you'll never find a job then your subconscious will create situations for you so that you don't find a job. These are just a few examples of how the subconscious mind responds when you worry.
But wait there's more. Yes it can get worse. You see we're all connected by energy. In reality we are all a collection of cells and atoms, protons and neutrons - which are really only energy. Everything we see and touch is energy that has taken form. Our thoughts are also energy - this is what connects us to each other and connects us to the higher powers - the universe, God, your spirit - whatever you want to call it. When you worry - you have negative beliefs and negative energy. This negative energy is picked up by those around you and your higher powers - in the end - those who are positive and may actually be able to help you - will shy away - because they only want to be near positive people. Those who are negative will gravitate towards you - because negative people love to be around other negative people - thus making you feel even more negative.
What also happens when you worry - is that you say to your higher powers: "I don't trust you, that's why I'm worried. I don't think you're going to come through for me." While you may not consciously say that - that's the message you are sending by worrying. In the end - your higher powers choose not to help you because you don't trust them, because you don't believe that things will get better. So now you have an idea of just how much worse things can get when you worry. So what can you to do to stop worrying?

How To Stop Worrying

The key to stop worrying is to first understand that worrying is just a stream of negative thoughts. Now the good news is that you can choose to keep these negative thoughts or change them. Remember - you're in control of your own mind - no one else. So keep a notepad and pen handy and when you start worrying - write down the negative thoughts. Once you've got a good list or once you have a clear understanding of what it is you are worrying about you can now begin to stop worrying.
The next step is to think about what you want. Let's say you're worried about not getting a job. What you really want is to find a job. So begin focusing your thoughts on finding a new job. Think about the kind of job you want. Think about what you can do to find a new job. Start doing things as though you have a new job. This doesn't mean you go out and spend what you have saved up - but don't walk with the feeling that you have no job. Instead walk with the feeling that you do have a job. Tell yourself that you have a job.
By doing what I've just described you begin to shift your energy - moving away from the negative energy sent out by worrying to sending out a positive energy that will begin to attract positive situations. You also send out a message to your higher powers that you do believe you will get a job and that you do trust them - so much so that you're now going out and doing what you can to find a new job.
I could go on and explain this further - but this is a newsletter and I just want to get across the key points. Much of what I talk about here is explained further in my Creating Power system. With Creating Power you'll learn to stop worrying and start living. You'll learn how to stop those negative thoughts and start attracting positive situations in your life.

Some Additional Pointers to Stop Worrying

Now the final key is to start living. I know this isn't easy if you're used to worrying all the time. But you have to start moving. This means focusing your mind not only on what you want, but begin looking at all the good things you have in your life. Oddly enough I always get a few people who say: "I don't have anything good in my life. I hate my life." The only reason you feel that way is because you're only looking at all of the negative things. Focus on the good things. If you have a family, that's a good thing. If you have a job, that's a good thing. If you have good health, that's a good thing. If you have friends, that's a good thing. If you have a good sense of humor, that's a good thing. Get the idea. Once you start doing this you automatically stop worrying.

After you've gone through the good things you have - start living. Start doing the things you enjoy doing - think about what you like doing and then start doing it slowly. If you enjoy the movies, go see one with a friend. If you like playing golf, play a round of golf or get to the driving range. If you like to cook, prepare a meal. If you like to shop, go out and shop. If you like to dance, go out dancing or do it in your living room. Start doing things you enjoy. The minute you do that you stop worrying. And you also send out a positive message - that you're enjoying life again. I know it may seem hard - but the benefits of doing this are tremendous. Try it even once and see how you feel.
There are a number of additional things you can do that will get your mind and subconscious mind working for you. All of them are outlined in my Creating Power system - which for a limited time comes with Personal Coaching.
